Privacy Policy

How VoltSyncra handles account information, device information, and data accessed while monitoring supported power-system equipment.

Effective date: August 20, 2026

VoltSyncra is designed to monitor supported batteries, battery monitors, shunts, solar charge controllers, and related power-system equipment. This Privacy Policy explains what information VoltSyncra accesses or collects, why it is used, and how it is handled.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use VoltSyncra, the service may collect or process the following information:

  • Account information: your email address and authentication information needed to create and secure your VoltSyncra account.
  • App installation and device information: an installation identifier, device name when available, operating-system platform, app version, device activation identifiers, and cryptographic public-key information used to protect account access.
  • Licensing and entitlement information: trial status, access status, device limits, subscription or entitlement status, and related dates.
  • Operational information: limited server records needed for security, authentication, troubleshooting, service reliability, and protection against misuse.

Passwords are handled through the server's authentication system and are not stored as readable plain-text passwords.

Bluetooth and power-system data

VoltSyncra uses Bluetooth or other supported local-device connections to discover and communicate with equipment such as batteries, shunts, and charge controllers. This may include device names, identifiers, connection status, voltage, current, state of charge, capacity, power, and other equipment telemetry made available by the connected device.

Routine power-system telemetry is processed locally by the VoltSyncra application. The current VoltSyncra account service does not require routine battery, shunt, or charge-controller telemetry to be uploaded to the VoltSyncra server. Bluetooth access is used to provide the application's monitoring features, not for advertising or user tracking.

How we use information

Information collected by VoltSyncra is used only as reasonably necessary to:

  • Create, authenticate, and protect user accounts.
  • Activate authorized app installations and maintain secure sessions.
  • Determine trial, beta, subscription, licensing, or other access entitlements.
  • Provide and improve application functionality and reliability.
  • Diagnose technical problems and respond to support requests.
  • Protect VoltSyncra, its users, and its services from fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

Sharing and sale of information

VoltSyncra does not sell personal information.

Information may be processed by service providers that are necessary to operate VoltSyncra, such as hosting, infrastructure, app-store, or payment-service providers. These providers receive information only as needed to perform the relevant service. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect legal rights, or to investigate fraud, security incidents, or abuse.

VoltSyncra does not use personal information or Bluetooth equipment data for third-party advertising.

Data security

VoltSyncra uses reasonable technical and administrative safeguards appropriate to the information being handled. These include encrypted HTTPS connections for server communications, password hashing, access controls, limited-duration authentication tokens, and cryptographic device-activation mechanisms.

No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but VoltSyncra is designed to limit the information collected and to protect information that must be retained.

Data retention and deletion

Account, device-activation, and entitlement records are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account security, meet contractual or legal requirements, and resolve disputes. Some limited records may remain temporarily in backups or security logs after an account is deleted.

You may request deletion of your VoltSyncra account and associated personal data. To make a privacy inquiry or deletion request, use the developer contact information provided on VoltSyncra's Google Play store listing and identify the email address associated with the account. After the request is verified, associated personal data will be deleted unless retention is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or financial-record purposes.

Children's privacy

VoltSyncra is intended for people managing electrical and power-system equipment and is not directed to children under 13. VoltSyncra does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as VoltSyncra's features or data practices change. When material changes are made, the effective date shown at the top of this page will be updated. The current version will remain available at this public Privacy Policy page.
