Account & Licensing
VoltSyncra uses a server account for identity, device activation, trials, beta access, and future paid entitlements.
Creating an account
Create the account in the VoltSyncra application and accept the current Terms, Disclaimer, and Limitation of Liability. New accounts must confirm their email address before signing in. The application can resend the confirmation message if needed.
Signing in and staying signed in
After a successful sign-in and device activation, VoltSyncra stores the device session securely and attempts to validate it silently when the server is reachable. Normal application use should not require repeatedly entering your password.
If the server cannot be reached, VoltSyncra can use the last server-approved entitlement for up to 30 days. Offline use never extends beyond a known trial or access expiration date.
Password recovery
Use Forgot password? on the Sign in tab. VoltSyncra sends a reset link when a confirmed account exists for the supplied address. For privacy, the application uses a generic response rather than confirming whether an address is registered.
Signing in on another device
Sign in with the same account. Each activated installation counts toward the account's device limit. Reinstalling VoltSyncra on the same recognized device is designed to reclaim that device registration instead of consuming a second slot.
Trial and entitlement
The standard trial is 30 days and starts after a device is successfully activated. VoltSyncra stores the entitlement dates supplied by the server and checks those dates locally during offline operation.
If the server is reachable and reports that access has expired or been revoked, the server decision takes precedence over cached offline information.
Beta testers
Accounts designated for beta testing may receive a special entitlement. If you believe your beta access is missing, provide the account email and the exact message displayed by VoltSyncra when contacting support.
Security
Do not send passwords, Bluetooth PINs, Victron Instant Readout keys, PUK codes, signing keys, or other secrets in a public support post. VoltSyncra keeps device PINs in secure storage rather than ordinary preference data.
